Default '69 Original Door Panels (Free)

I consider these panels to be in rough condition. The trim can be restored and the panel backs are date coded from '69. The vinyl is trashed and frankly I'm not sure if the backing can be saved due to prior water intrusion. If you pay for shipping I'll send them to you or you can pick them up in Tampa. I'd like for someone to get some use out of them if possible.

Default Panels

Hi Neil, I will take them. Still in Melborne? Might be my excuse to see your car. Lets set something up.

Hey Roger, I'm in Tampa but I have relatives in Daytona. I can hold them for you or I might be able to bring them next time I visit Daytona if I can fit them with luggage.

That's fine Neil, no rush. The backings are what I am looking for. The dates are good and I plan to recover myself. Maybe we could meet half way if you don't get to Daytona or can't fit them. What ever it takes.
Thank You

Wait s second? These can be re-covered? To look original? Id love to know, mine are in okay shape but it has to be cheaper to recover than to buy new isnt it?

I can't remember the post but it was about a month age where the person showed exactly what he did to recover the panels. They came out awesome. I am not a big fan of the newer ABS plastic backings. Give it a search!

I agree it can be done, but it wasn't something I was willing to take on. So I figured I'd offer these up for someone to try it instead of just scrapping them.

I did find a post about recovering these door panels. One person said what sounded like he sold door panels to Al Knock for cores. Maybe, if that is true you could get a little bit of cash back ?

I think the cost of shipping would negate any real return on these panels. I figured someone might want them for the $50 or $75 bucks it would take to ship them. The trim could be saved for sure.
