Default Original Pliacell or Made in USA Delco Shocks

Figured a new thread would be better than resurrecting an old one so here goes.

Looking for a set of original standard shocks for a 70 corvette. I would also accept a set of Delco Made in USA shocks front and rear.

I am willing to pay a reasonable price and I am not overly concerned with the dates. Dates would be a bonus. I know correct numbers will be expensive and already saw the set on eBay. I feel the set on eBay is over priced quite a bit. They have been for sale for quite a while. JIC the numbers for 70 were 3192196 and 3192869 respectively. My 70 is an early June build date.

I would consider a set of Delco Reatec shocks as they are close in configuration to the Pliacell shocks.

Kind Regards,

Bill L.

Dan Patch is The Man if you want correct dated shocks. Dan's Classics LLC is his company name; phone number is (913) 268-5314. His shocks are not cheap, but correct seldom is.

A cheaper way to go is to buy AC Delco shocks and paint them grey.

Good luck with your search,
Allen

Thank you Allen.

I have spoken with Dan and he is a really nice guy. Ultimately I may go that route but like you said, it is not cheap.

I prefer original but if I do go Delco as you suggest I want to find some Made in USA shocks by Delco.

I would be VERY happy with a set of Delco Reactec shocks.

Kind Regards,

Bill
