No pictures of the actual ring and pinion? How are we to know the condition or the fact that they are really 3.7?

I have purchased the posi case from that same gear set- it was all Ralph said it was- an original 72 posi case with no apparent wear on it. I would bet the gears are just what he said they are, he does know how to tell what parts he has. Of course they should be set up as used vs new gears as I am sure you are aware.

Hi,

Can you find out the shipping cost, the cheapest would be fine, I don't need the gears right now.
Also I would like to use pay-pal, I will pay for all expenses.

Thx,
John

Do used gears get set looser or tighter? I would think it would be about the same. I seem to recall a .008 max backlash, something like that. Should the look of the pattern interface be different? Terr

You follow standard practice for used gears. Go by the coast side of the gear for pattern checking, set the lash to 6-8 and listen to the gear mesh when rotating them. GM gear use thicker shims then the aftermarket so shim range may be 028-034"
