Welcome to the Corvette Forum.

I don't have 2.73 gears but curious what engine and transmission you will be using to push those rear gears?
I have used 3.08; 3.36, 3.55, 3.73, and even had a 4.11 but have never handled anything as low as a 2.73.
Let me know, got my interest.
Thank you and again welcome.

Hi David,

My '70 454 has a 2.73 rear with an automatic transmission. It runs great on the highways at high speeds. My rear end stamp is CAY, and original to my car.

I know on the 70 Vets, the 2.73 was only available in this particular combination, 454/THM automatic, making it rare, so I'm told.

According to my NCRS specs guide, the 2.73 was not available for 71 Vets.

Steve

I have the diff out of my 65 with the 2.73s. I will be cleaning it all up and checking it this coming week. If you are still interested I'll let you know how it looks by the end of the week.
