On the off chance someone is restoring a 1980 Corvette (with rear defogger), and just has to have the correct alternator, this one appears to be the original 70 amp unit.

Obviously, if this was doing its job, it would still be in the car. It could not keep up with the current draw with the high-beams on, so there may be an electrical issue in the alternator, or the car, or both. It was replaced with a new alternator. Priced accordingly as a core.
