Two Post Lift Sought
I have two (2) four post lifts in my garage and I am thinking I would like to take one of them down and replace it with a two post lift, or put a two post lift in my center bay, not sure which yet, but looking to see if anyone here has knowledge of a two post lift in good condition that may be for sale.
I will do a craigslist search as well but I trust my CF community members to know people that know people that know things, hence this question.
If you have one for sale, or know of one, please let me know.
Thank you in advance and best regards,
David Howard

Never heard anything from anyone on this so I guess the idea is a dead one. Might have to just sell one of my four post lifts and buy a new two post lift. I'll ask around to see what might be popular for the two post style. Could use the flexibility it would bring to my car fun now. Anyway, time to do some more research I guess.
Have a great Easter Weekend.

I have a two post and four post in my garage. The two post gets used the most and is very versatile for doing everything. If I were you I would put it in the center bay since the four posts are great for long term storage.
The first problem with two post lifts is your concrete floor. It may or may not be thick/strong enough for the lift. That could be resolved by digging out the base and properly supporting it. Also some of the cheap two post lift will actually buckle the arms and even the posts. Even though they say rated for whatever there have been stories out there. Make sure you get a reputable one.
You should be able to find one on Craigslist near you. I see them up for sale all the time and there really isn’t much too them.
Sorry I couldn’t help you with brand/models. Good luck!!

If I were you and could afford it, I'd get a four post. Best to check out one that somebody already has and likes to pick their brain about it.

David already has two four post lifts. He is looking to get a two post to replace one of his four post lifts.
I would recommend a Rotary and/or Mohawk.

I asked my builder about my garage flooring and he said "you will have to reinforce the floor if you want a two post lift" so that ends this discussion. Four posters it will stay.
Glad you guys gave me the heads up, I do appreciate it.

I have a mohawk 2 post and 6" of concrete is enough. I'd download the install manual for whatever lift your looking at. Should have specs for the floor in the manual.

David, not sure if you are still looking, but I have a used 2 post lift. I bought from a speed shop who was moving to a new location...it worked great. It is still on a pallet since I bought it. Only looking to re-coup my purchase of $750
