Real or Lexan?

The 'early' tops had a latch near the windshield and another latch at the back (so I assume a one piece would have 4 latches total if it's an early style). A late top only had latches near the windshield, and just pins at the rear.

And pictures would really help.

Here are the pics that willriskit sent. I wasn't able to determine if they are early or late - he said that the mounts have threaded mounting hardware with plastic *****.

Did any one decide if it was a early top or a later top 78 to 82. Looking one that will fit an 82

Looks like an Astro top. Should fit both early and late, it doesn’t use the latches. Bolts down to the front (hand tight) has two tongues for the center and a set of blocks and screws for the back. Google Astro tops it should bring you to there web site with pictures for better idea of how it stays on
