Default Correct 1970-1972 LT-1 Fuel Line Clamp

Very nice reproduction of the 1970-1972 LT-1 fuel line clamp (also correct for late 1969-1972 Z-28).

Clamp is correctly stamped with STAMP RITE and comes with correct length screw.

$250 for clamp and correct screw. I haven’t seen a real one for sale in five years and that one went for $750… You can wait forever for a real one (and at what price?) or pick up this near identical part for a lot less.

Have a few of these available.

Right rear carburetor stud on LT1. LS6 is different. This is a TOUGH part with the stamp rite logo. Without the logo is reproduced many places. Some of us are crazy enough to want the logo. 😀

Ah, I see it in this picture of a 70 LT1. It looks like it was originally "natural", unpainted. There is also a little u shaped piece that bolts to it and holds the fuel line. It does not look like a very necessary piece. The fuel line can support itself. I can see how these bracket might be commonly removed and not re-installed.

Most of the originals that I have seen are painted while current reproductions are zinc plated (like this one - note that there is no STAMP RITE logo).

The bracket is one piece… One end is bolted at the carburetor, the other wraps around the rear fuel line and is secured with a hex head screw.

Stan

The one on our original one owner 70 LT-1 is natural finish, in the 8k serial range.

Some certainly may have been bare (or the gasoline dissolved the cheap paint applied), I have seen a few like that. Most that I have seen were painted (or show remnants of paint).

Stan

I posted a link to this thread on the YENKO.net forums as there are a lot of higher end 69 Z guys over there.
Here is the original on my 71 LT1 --- VERY NICE REPRODUCTION BTW!
I appreciate the time and effort which went into it.

I'm in the market for one, but per the NCRS judging guide black isn't correct for LT-1's.

"The stamped fuel line support bracket is natural finish on LT1s and black phosphate on LS6s"

I guess I could just strip the paint, but it would stick out even more than the Paragon repro I already have on there, which is nicely patina'd.

I think it is a solid repro though. Who is making them?

I've seen them both black and natural. I spoke with the gentleman who is responsible for the content of the manual. Not sure what conclusions we came to, but he's aware that I've seen black brackets out there and I think he trusts my judgement as well.

If you're interested, I have a request from another gentleman for a natural bracket that I intend to prepare this week... I'll prep a second natural bracket and post the photo here. Let me know what you think.

Regards,

Stan
