Strange request:

At work we are doing adopt-a-family, and one of the family members wants a book on drag racing -- I think one with lots of pictures, history, etc. Can anyone recommend such a book? I can get to Barnes & Noble or Powells (they are here in Portland) in the time frame, but probably can't get it through the internet.

We have book music stores here in central Texas - Hastings - I saw a history of drag racing book there with some real cool pics of the front engine dragsters I grew up with --- left heavy hints for the wife - but we probably still have to buy it myself after Christmas -- it wasn't cheap at $36+.....your local book stores should have it --- if not you might try Amazom.com to get the correct name and author and then ask them locally if they can get it......... good luck
