Windshield molding
What is the upper windshiled trim coated with or made of in a 71? I'm talking about the chrome looking trim that goes over the center "T". I was wanting to know if I should try polishing it or just go ahead and get them rechromed (there are scratches in them).

Thanks guys! Instead of getting it chromed, I now intend to sand it down using 400 wet, 600 wet, 800 wet, then 1000 wet and polishing off with mothers. Hopefully it won't warp this way.

Also... are the corner pieces (the ones that hold the T-top in place - right beside the T molding) also stainless steel? I thought those were for sure chromed.

Corner pieces are chromed, looks like cheap metal though. I believe I recently purchased the last 2 still in existence! Took forever to find ( although everyone lists them) but are now discontinued.
