The bungy cord has to go try bolting the engine in! Jusy kidding looks great. I bought the same valvecovers but mine are centerbolt for vortec heads.

wow! VERY nice looking!
I have to agree with the "engine first fire-up thrill"

When I first cranked up the 383, I didn't have the exhaust on the headers. Fortunately the timing was off and it only sputtered. That was enought to scare the poopie outta me.

I hooked up the chambered to the headers before I actually ran it

Bangkok...yep saw your pictures and yes...look the same...Are you Crane rockers roller? Hence, the needed heigth in the covers?

Bob...thats what my freind told me..."hey, just take the body off and the ngine and tranny will come out much easier". No sh@t! It just opened the door for many many other projects on the 71
and Ken...I hadn't put the drivers side bungy on yet...should keep it more centered and allow good "flex" when I step on it!
