Default Corvette Trailer

I know I've seen these before, but can anyone point me towards a vendor that sells C3 pull-behind trailers?

I've contemplated making my own of the tub of an 81 I have access to, but wonder a bit about the suspension and so forth. Any ideas?

i have seen really cool ones at a show in the wisconsin dells- the trailers they make are c-2 's and c-4's--its the *** end of (mock up) a vette and they were expensive,,if interested i probably can find the vendor thru the guy who runs the show---it was called ''corvettes at the isthmuss'' if you do a web serch for them and call,, they can hook you up with that vendor---he was at the show last year in the dells at the hoe chunk casino(i believe it was in june)

Not bad.
I have the azz-end of my 75 that I intend to "trailerize" (some day).
Probably need to take a couple leafs out of the spring.
Mine will be bigger than the ones shown in the above link.
IMO - they are kinda small. It shoudl be able to hold 2 full
size wheels and a good sized tool box (for runs to the track).
Also, for long trips, it should hold a spare plus all your vacation stuff.

Any ideas on what type of suspension would be used for a Home-Built jobber?

I've been looking for something too and have not yet found one. My bigger question is the hitch? Probably have to fabricate something myself?

This looks a little easier than fabbing it yourself...who knows?

How about this one. The owner fabbed it himself and under the covers it is a 6x4 trailer. Only problem is it is for RHD corvettes only

Do you know the fellow that has this trailer? If so...can you get some detailed pictures of the thing?? That's EXACTLY what I would like to build. Please let me know, thanks!

Trevkis,
I will see if I can get more pics and the details for you. Might take a few days. My mate Rod built this one a few years back.
Here in Aus there is a standard trailer called a 6x4, because the tray is 6' x 4'. Most people have one of these instead of a pick up to cart rubbish as we are not a "pick up" society. Also unless the trailer is used for commercial purposes you do not have to register it. I believe Rod built the corvette cover for his 6x4 out of left over repop front and rear ends. It is hinged at the front and locks at the back.

Whatever you can do to provide extra pics would be greatly appreciated. I'd just love to have something to store extra stuff in when my wife and I go on a trip. We have not done that yet, as the Vette is still in the "construction" phase. It runs now, but still has a ways to go. I'm calling it the Phoenix Project!
