Remember the Baldwin car is a piece of Vette history. Also to each his own as far as style goes. Also As for the top bid on a vette. A 1953 and a matching white/red 2003 with the same vin # as the 53 went for $550,000. Who would of thaught. Each alone 53 = $125,000 the 03 =$32,000. It all comes down to there is a lot of money out there. It's just in other people pockets.
OMG, I did like that vette. I am one of the cult that would love to have a mition car, except the vega, anyway I thiought it was going to go for 225, One thing I like about motion... you dont get clones. you can buy the Yenko stripes and such... try and buy the parts to build a motion clone.....
Berger, Motion, and Yenko cars were not matching number cars except for the 1969 Vettes and the rare COPO`s that they all had access too. All are are dealer installed L72`s where the original 396 was pulled and replaced with the crate 1966 427/450HP`s or later reduced to 425HP because of the AMA. Fancy strips and interior decorations is all that is really different added at the dealerships along with the replacement 427`s. Without a dealers invoice for positive identification, easily cloned and worth as much with the proper "IP" 427 engine.
Wonder if that was the one that has been in many magazines and at the same time "for sale" for the last couple of years. I also thought it was on eBay for a while and did'nt even get over $30K
To me it`s one ugly 69 Vette. Not worth that kind of money either, way over priced or bid.
Man !!!! They just don't get much uglier than that thing. It's like they went to the bone yard and glued a bunch of crap on. They should have used an Opal GT. Same result
Actually, the earlier phase I and II versions are awesome. They had the same two-tone paint scheme, modded L88 hoods, and pop-up gas caps yet retained the stock hidden headlights and tail lights. And I didn't even bring up the engine and suspension mods they had!
isnt the headlights alittle wrong?
seems like one of them sits higher in the pics of them, dosent look good at all.
Look at the picture of the front of the car
It looks like a big grasshopper- I think they messed up some of the vette's best styling features-and to use lights off a car thats not even near the vettes class is unforgiveable.

That pair was in Hemmings for $250,000 and didn't sell.
I saw one first hand down in Eureka Springs last year. We had a ball doing burnouts in the motel parking lot all nite.....this one did some of the best
I love the look from the rear, but you all are right.....the headlights take a little getting use to.
