What is the referance point in installing the pitman arm at the proper point on the gerbox shaft?
I put mine on and it's obviously wrong. It rotated to driver side almost 90 degrees from center of car, and to passenger only underneath the motor mount. But it seems if I turned it one key way the other direction it would turn to much towards passenger.
I don't have any other suspension installed and my body is off so I don't have any reference points. TIA....
Have the steering box centered in rotation about 1-3/4 turns. Have the wheels straight and there will be only one way for the pitman arm to line up. The arm can go on in 90* positions so you'll see evrything clearly when you have them lined up.
