I installed roller tip rocker arms two months ago. When I removed the old rocker arms I did not label them (f.e cyl #1 intake) so I do not know what valve/pushrod I removed them from...
Well, there is a very annoying noise coming from the engine (I posted about this before).... and I cannot figure out what's causing this noise... I was wondering if it could be the roller tips on the new rocker arms, therefore I was planning on re-installing the stock rockers....
Is it important to put them back to where they came from ????
I read several books about rebuilding a SB and the books say to put them back in the old position....
I guess if the books are correct then I can throw the rockers in the trashcan...
From: Who says "Nothing is impossible" ? I've been doing nothing for years.
I would not worry about the rockers, you can put them on any cylinder if they are in good condition, what you don't want to get mixed up are fllat tappet lifters and their positions

Thanks for the reminder, I had to throw out a set of solid lifters a few weeks ago .....
