Default HP Numbers

I was wondering if someone could answer a question.

I have a stock 71 L48, 270 HP. I am going to install a 327 350HP cam, LT1 Intake, LT1 330HP heads, 780 holley and a pointless distributor.

I was wondering if anyone would have an idea as to what I could expect by installing the above parts or would it be a waste of time.

Thanks

I don't know what the lift is on that cam, but don't be afraid of something with numbers like Comp Cams 270H. I'd go even higher than that. I had it in my L48 and it wasn't even rough.

Intake, heeads, and cam will increase flow, but what are you running for exhaust? That could still be a bottleneck.

original manifolds to side pipes. I think lift is .447.

I'm only guessing, but changing those part should bump you up to the 330hp range.
You didn't mention if you already have the parts. If you going to buy new, I would consider the Vortec heads, intake, and aftermarket cam.

def. consider the vortecs, newer technology that walks all over 1971 technology and unless you are getting the parts for free its prolly just as cheap as the parts you listed...

I am picking up the parts for less than $800.00. Carb/Intake have less than 4 hours run time.

Just did the vortec package and it rocks - make sure you match everything from carb to exhaust
