Yeah, I've heard a little about that but it is one of the nicest places I've ever been and I'm hoping to move there. You have got to love that part of the US, giant redwoods, the ocean.....beautiful!
Almost, just north in Crescent City, but lived in Humboldt for about 20 years before that, from what I can remember . My son lives in Eastern Humboldt, drives a 87 vert and goes to Humboldt State. He belongs to a vette club in Eureka, just joined not too long ago but he enjoys it. He posts a lot in the C 4 section of this forum. Hums a great place to take the vette out to just have to watch for the sinks/slides along the ocean and the rivers.

Wow! Thanks for the reply!
I am hoping to make a few contacts in the Humboldt/Northern Calif area. My wife and I are really hoping to make a move to the area and if you and your son don't mind maybe I can email you. We have several topics were trying to get some information on ie. Humboldt State, careers in Economic Development/Communiy Development, Smog/inspection laws, good areas for acreage, etc. etc. etc.
If you are up to it PM or email me as we'd love to chat
Are there any CF members who live in Humboldt County, California???

I lived in Eureka for a few years going to the College of the Redwoods, then I moved to Hawaii for a few years. The picnics were even better in Hawaii.
Eureka was a great place though, foggy 300 days a year, rains another 200 days a year, and then when I was there in 89 they got 3" of snow and closed down the whole town,
