Default Looking for new A/C ...

I am looking for some advice on where to find a new A/C Delco compressor for my car ('72 / 350) . Seems to be several sites offering reman's, but not wanting to take the chance, I am looking for a new unit , just cannot locate one. Can someone list a few sites for me.

Any problems with using a reman unit?

thanks

Remanufactured A/C compressor are known to be pretty bad. I would opt for a new one too. The last thing you want to do is contaminate the system from a siezed compressor. You can get them from Delco distributors and GM. They are still being made.. Some auto parts stores that carry Delco stuff (more then just plugs and filters) can get them too. Find a Delco parts place because it will be lots cheaper than the dealer. There used to be two here but not anymore.

Default I'm wanting A/C also....

I'm leaning towards the complete kit from Hot Rod Air. I requested an info package from them and hopefully will receive it soon. I don't have A/C to begin with so it might be simpler. I'd like to get this done before summer....

Default A/c

If you are keeping the car "original", keep looking.

If not, I would suggest a system using the Sanden compressor. The shop I use installed quite a few every year for the past 7 years with no returns.
