Sorry bro..any type of "collector insurance" you would like to get the lower 6 mos/ yearly payments on will require and secured garage..and daily driver with mileage limitations..got State Farm coverage for my 81 for just a tad over 300 bones..for agreed value of 17k. Good luck with the search! Joe!
I got a quote for the Corvette for around $250 full coverage a month.
This is quite a lot of dough! You can probably get a storage unit for the Vette for about $100/month and classic insurance (usually pretty cheap) and still save a bundle... And your baby will be protected to boot!

Good idea. Store it for $100 a month or less. AON or Hagarty will cover it for $100 a year.
Man....I would do some more insurance shopping......depending upon where you are, don't let them rape you. I just got quoted 375 for six months, full coverage, with a 5,000 mile max. per year. State Farm. 81 vette.
I have AON collectors insurance and with a modified 350 and $9K agreed value it runs about $180 per year here in Oklahoma. I'll raise my agreed value after interior and exterior restoration is completed. They also have NO milage limit. But they do require a locked storage as well as another vehicle for daily driver. Might give em' a look see:
I have 3 cars and home owners with Nationwide. The Vette is less $800 per year with full coverage, 5K miles per year. In comparison, my 97 Geo Prizm cost a few bucks more to insure.
Here in Canada there's a place where they have a special insurance call silverwheels i got my vette insured with them now for almost 10 years at $141.oo/year full coverage ,no milage limited but need a daily driver in your name. apprase value at $14000. They take 15 years old and older but when the car turn 25 it half price. I only do like 1000 milles a year so it just what i need.
Hang in there and bite the insurance bullet for another year. I only pay about $150 per year on my ’74. It is stated value policy with State Farm for $15,000. The car has to be at least 25 years old and may require registration as an historic vehicle. As others have stated you must have a secured garage.
my father is a state farm agent, as much as i would like to get a discount.....i dont get one. neither does he for that matter. most people think he gets a discount or gets it for free. i have a 78 pace with 34,000 miles. under the classic car classification it costs me $252 every six months ( $42 a month for those that think in terms of months ). and that is FULL coverage.
