Default Pilot bushing .....

Installing a new pilot bushing n my new engine. Do I oil or grease the bushing before installing the trans....

it wont hurt if you do. i put mine in the freezer before i install

Put a little grease on the tip of the tranny shaft or inside the bushing to help them engage. I would avoid any oil in or around the bushing especially with a manual tranny. Clutch discs hate the stuff

IMHO - You might consider installing the needle bearing type rather than the plain bushing type. The needle bearing type even has a seal which helps keep the grease off the clutch face.
