stock air cleaner
Are there any hood clearance problems using a stock air cleaner on a edelbrock performer intake and q-jet carb? Did some mods to my old stock air cleaner,shaved all the emission stuff off and closed up the holes. Trying to get away from the open hot air breathing air cleaner that i have been using. Intake is just the performer,not the rpm.

A few years ago, I had exactly that setup with no clearance problems.

put playdoh on the top.....measure it first and then let it get compressed you will know exactly how much space you have....if its close move it tothe leading edge and repeat......
