If the contacts have failed (kinda sounds like they did) You might want to consider getting a relay to run the fans that has adequate contact rating. Wire the magnetic coil of the relay through your replacement sensor switch.

Your absoulutly right! I guess I was assuming Len already had fan control relays as a part of the Dual Spal Fan wiring setup. Each of the two gray wires on thier wiring harnes switch the primary of each fan relay to ground. Sounded like Len is controlling both fans (via each fan relay) at the same time with one Temp sensor. I choose to control one fan with the temp sensor and the other with a manual switch located inside the cockpit (for emergency hot days) since one fan was typically doing the job.
