It seems my car has a little to much play in the steering and I wanted to remove some of it. What areas should I look at to make adjustments to correct this?
Could be several areas that affect this:
rag joint, steering box, control valve or manual center link, tie rod ends, idler arm, wheel bearings, ball joints. Check all of them first before you start replacing parts.
Look at the rag joint while someone moves the wheel there should be no play in the joint or through the box. The front end parts shoudl be tight in the tapered holes.
