A road race Vette is built very different than a drag race Vette. But we will not tell "O".

In most ways.

If YOU think it looks good, then it doesn't matter if you have an AMC Pacer front end on it.

Mine is slowly departing from factory stock and heading in the direction that I think the car should have been made.
I have the original front end. I am debating whether to paint both front ends or decide on only one. I have too much going to get tied up in doing a NCRS restoration myself and no money to pay someone else to do it.

I did not mean to seem to brag. Together all the items I listed are probably not worth as much as the average Vette owned by forum members. But I don't care. I can easily get my money out of any of them. That means the enjoyment I got was really free. If that satisfies me no one has a right to criticize. Same with Oliver. Maybe your idea of workmanship is not the same as his. He is happy to change the rear end quickly. That was his aim and he felt good about achieving it. Who has a right to try to belittle him for feeling that way. Why try to take that away from him? What did anyone offer him that would seem better to him? I don't recall Oliver criticizing anyone for enjoying spending gobs of time on tasks he probably enjoys spending half the time on.

There is no other real drag racing other than heads up. Bracket racing is for sissies. That's right, I said it.

I guess you haven't heard all the whiners invovled with the Pro-8 series (heads-up) in N.J. (mostly C5 guys with "sissy" bottles).

DRAG RACING....I love it either way. Just leave the whiners & sissies on the porch.

Time to buy some BIG SLICKS, take that Dremel and start cutting away at those rear quarter panels! I'll give you a hint for when you do the cutting so it comes out better than the differential bolt access work: use a string located at the center of the rear wheel to get a consistant even radius from the rear tires. GO FOR IT! faster times will come your way!
