Front clip/ firewall bonding adhesive
After replacing my birdcage the front passenger side of the clip no longer lines up. This is due to previous accident damage--- the car was repaired well.... but it was repaired with a bent birdcage.
Now I have to cut the bond between the firewall and rebond as well rebond the bonding panel to the tops of the fenders( the ones riveted to the windshield frame)
What bonding adhesive do I to use?

Evercoat Vette Panel Adhesive...........you can buy it at your local UAP store, $40 a quart I think it was last time I bought it.

Try The Corvette Image, www.corvetteimage.com, 800-550-1200. They are one of the last manufacturers of fiberglass panels and clips. I used their bonding adhesive to install one of their front clips on my '69.

Lord Fusor or 3M both make adhesives designed for structural bonding of SMC or regular fiberglass to steel. I prefer Fusor, I did all of the bonding strips and nose reinforcing bar bonding with their products. The only drawback to using fusor products is once they are bonded they are bonded FOREVER!
