Default Just basic questions..Need serious help on mini starter wiring

Guys with mini starters, especially on early C3s. I have 5 wires total going to the starter with the original 3 post solenoid. The mini has 2 posts.
1. How many wires do you have running on the big post?
2. How many wires are running on the smaller post?

I know to leave the yellow resistor bypass wire off and as long as everything is hooked up right, i should be ok. I'm still not getting enough Voltage to the coil, and also my battery is running down, so theres a constant power somewhere thats draining my battery.
Thanks for any help. Herb

The purple wire goes to the small post. The yellow wire is not used-unless you still have stock coil and points. In that case you may have to wire a relay that triggers when starting (ppl wire) that gives 12v to yellow wire for starting. THe other wires all go to the main terminal.

As for voltage drains, look at the horn relay if your horn isn't hooked up.

I am running points and a coil. I hate to hook up a relay just for that wire.
