I know this has been brought up before and has been but geezz. In the new issue of Corvette Fever, there is only 2 articles in the magazine that don't have to do w/C5 or 6 's. One article w/a C1 and one w/a C2. I think they should change the name to C5/C6 Fever. I'm going to stop advertising w/these guys.
Somebody needs to have the courage to break out of the "one size fits all" mold of the Corvette magazines...and focus primarily on "Corvettes with carburetors."
There are currently...what?...four glossy Corvette-oriented magazines. That's a lot. Hmmm...
Corvette Fever is interesting and fun to read, but dang, I am a C3 guy and can only dream about C5 or C6. And when my Wife sees me looking at a C6 photo in CF, she gives me "the look", you know, the "don't you dare even think about a C6" look. I don't even look at the ads, or read the articles, if they are for C4 and up.
This issue of CF had one "Shark Bites" letter that's was helpful to me, but the article about washing your engine (which had photos of a '79 to '81 C3) was about the lamest waste of printing ink I have ever read.
This forum is better than any magazine one could get.

but this is the exception (instead of the rule) for Corvette Fever Magazine. They tend to always have somnething indepth on the C3 in almost every issue.
I just went through all of my magazines and made a list of articles that I might refer back to sometime. What I discovered is that there MIGHT be an article in Vette, maybe 1 in Corvette Fever, and rarely one in the other magazines. There were more articles of interest in Chevy Hi-Performance, and Car Craft.
My subscriptions recently just ended, and I have decided that as the magazines hit the shelf, I would look through them to see if there was anything I could really benefit from, and buy them as needed. 3 month's ago, I had 5 different magazines coming to my house each month. This month, I bought 1 magazine, and it was Super Chevy because of an article about Big Blocks.
I am beginning to believe that among the magazine and print industry, the C3s have become the 'Forgotten Generation'. So why support them in their business if they don't support us?
Corvette Fever did a big shoot of our inagural Corvette Challenge at Moroso. There were c2-c6's there. Lots of C3's. Norm (Lotahp) and Bob (16again) did a great job of running the event. Did Dan (Fuzzydice) help with getting the mag out there?

Sorry for the rant.
If I recall correctly, a few years back Vette magazine became almost entirely devoted to the C5. So much so that it could have changed its name to "Corbette Quarterly Monthly". I the uproar from the subscribers was such that that editor lasted about 4 months in the job.
Best advice, if you don't like the content of a magazine vote with your wallet.
I used to get all 5 (Were there 5 ??? i can't keep up with the name changes)...lack of C-3 material in Corvette Fever,Vette Magazine and Corvette Enthusiast cut that down to 2...Corvette Magazine, and Corvette Quarterly (and only because once in a while they'll have some historic GM photos of the assembly plant and prototype vehicles)
But I do agree with the lack of C-3 coverage they all are guilty of.

That's why I cancelled. Too much money for too little. Many of the same stories rehashed over and over...boring....
CORVETTE FEVER & VETTE Magazine are both owned by Primedia. They have made a couple of changes....
VETTE Magazine is going to be geared towards the stock/originale ("Society") Corvettes
Where CORVETTE FEVER is now going to cover modified Vettes.
Now this is not to say you will "never" see an originale Vette in C.F. and a modified Vette in V.M. So when thinking which mag. to choose for subscription this might help.
That's what I do now. Scan the various Corvette magazines looking for any good articles on the '68 thru '72 era cars, and purchase over the counter now when I find one.
I subscribed to Corvette Enthusiast after quite a few folks around here had mentioned it. I've really enjoyed the mag. I don't think I've gotten an issue yet (around 6 I think) where there hasn't been a C3 article. They hit just about every generation in every issue. The latest one even had a pretty good how-to on replacing the power steering control valve.
