Have any of you guys with a manual installed a line lock? I'm looking for pictures of where you mounted your switch? For the most part my interior is very stock looking and I don't want to veer to far from that.
Thanks.

altho I don't have a stick, I have a line-lock on my drag-car, and if you are considering running your car at the strip very often (hence the need for a line-lock), I'd offer this.....
mount it out-of-the-way (not on the steering wheel/column, or shifter), so that if you DO get into trouble at the stripe (i.e.: squirrely), you can't bump it accidentally, and engage it, while trying to re-gain control of the car......
I have mine mounted on the dash-board of my Z28, where the optional rear-window de-fogger switch would've been located, and I have to 'reach' to activate it.
I've had a few NHRA Tech guys see it there, and like where it is mounted.
I have my line-lock switch run up where the e-brake (non-working) handle is. The coil cord is inside a 6" long piece of tubing that allows me to feed it under the rubber split to keep it out of the way. When I need to use to line-lock I just pull it up out of the rubber split and go to town.
Mine is mounted on a flexible cord too.. I went to ACE Electronics (Antoine/290 area) and bought all the stuff. They have an unreal selection of anything you would want to do things anyway you want. And at much better prices than the kits.
I mounted a DIN receptacle under the dash and soldered a male connector and a button to the ends of a flex cord. That way I can just unplug the cord when it's not needed. I originally set it up to do the "wrap around the column" deal, but I have shift light on the column and I didn't like the possibilities of something bad happening. So now, after use I just stick the cord on the vent ***** on dash and it stays hanging there just fine during the run.
Nah, it's not running yet. Still waiting on the motor. I knew it would take longer than he promissed but whatchya gonna do?
It took over 8 months to get mine, but I tell you... it seems that it was worth the wait... Well - I will know for sure when I'll get my first track times
