Default Parkingbrake Adjust Info

After my rear end rebuild I installed all new P-brake components. Is there info somewhere that describes the step by step adjustment procedure from the beginning? You know...how much to adjust the cables before moving on to the shoe adjusters. 72 AIM is no help...neither is the 72 GM service manual.
Thanks guys
Eddie

My 72 GM Service Manual has a parking brake adjustment procedure. I don't remember which section but I am pretty sure it is in the brake section.

I don't have my manual with me while away from home. When I get home I will look it up. I know its there and I know the gist of it but I will wait to give you information that is accurate. Btw, it is the same procedure for virtually all 67-82 Corvettes, those with center console brake handles.

Just take the slack out of the cable.Move on to the parking brake shoes.Adjust them one by one 'till you can't turn the wheel, back off the adjuster 8to 11 clicks

My AIM has a great procedure. Its for a '71 but it should be the same. I'll scan it if you want.

Thanks for all the replies guys. I generally don't ask for stuff I can research myself...but this time I could only find vague info. I looked page by page in the AIM & Manual...and couldn't find it.
Thanks Again

Eddie don't get your hoped up that they'll work all that great, even with new shoes. This is just a poor design. I set the shoes when the arm is on the bench so they just clear then adjust the cable afterwards. You'll know if they are rubbing because it won't take long to heat up. On your shake down ride don't go far and check the temp of the wheel by hand to see if they are hot.
