Well...after roughly a month the engine was ready to start. Had to be a bit creative with the wiring and air flow but after setting the distributor and ensuring gas flow...it fired on the first shot with a remote starter. Here's a few pictures of the start up...
A big THANKS goes to a couple great friends...BP and VettePilot68 from here on the forum. Thanks guys! Now for the T5!
yep, well er...sorta. I heard the 4x4 tranny conversion is the way to go for solid launches
Actually...just didn't want the engine "leaning" on the motor mounts so rigged that up for support...

Dayum!!! You are making some kind of progress. I have been watching your posts and you seem to be moving right along at a pretty good pace. It is going to be a sweet ride when you get it all put together again. Keep on posting pics.

Eddie...I just hate the idea of not doing "something" even if it's not major. While waiting on the engine block to come back from the machine shop, I took a tap and die set and cleaned out all the mounting nuts, plates etc on the frame and supports...kept me occupied. With the help on this forum...things just seem to slide right along!
Thanks again to James K!
