Where did you guys/girls place your lambdabung on your sidepipes/headers?
Since theres alot of snow on the ground overhere and i`ve been running out of things to do to the vette i figured out that a Lambdasensor would surely help me finetune my Holley this spring.
The problem is that i`m a bit unsure to where to place the bung . Any ideas?
By the way, does anyone use these units? The look really . Maybe a GP prospect? http://www.zeitronix.com/Products/zt2/zt2.htm

Drivers side collecter... 4 pm facing the rocker for clearance an invisiblity to the average looker. I am running the F.A.S.T. wide band and it is working fine there
It depends on if your using a narrow or wide band sensor. The narrow bands need to be closer to the head (mounted in the primary rather than the collector) and don't tend be as accurate as the EGT cools. Wide Band sensors are more accurate and have heaters to maitain the temp. Wide bands can be used further down long tube headers. I use a Wide Band from PLX devices. I have it connected to a Holley Commander 950 EFI.
Talked to some EFI guys here and they didnt like the idea of placing the sensor in the sidetubes due to the fact that the connection between the Header and sidepipe could leak and giving you false readings due to fresh air.
So i`ll be placing it in the driver or passenger collector.
The Lambda i`ll be using is a wideband one.
