'71 Shoulder Belt Escutcheon
need one of the bezels that fit behind the seat . I have one ,the GM
part number on it #3976549 , I 'm not sure which side of the car it is
for . I need #3976550 , the catalogs have the bezels listed as LH or RH .
with a different number . I have e-mail requesting info so that I can
order- the right part . I'm told they have to check on it and get back to me . I didn't realize it was a major problem - it will soon be one week
I would like to get the belts installed before spring . Thanks for help
is this the chrome piece that fits on the back of the seats for the seat belt.
The front of the seat has a long rectangular metal bar which has a cutout for the seat belts. I am missing some type of bracket or holder on the back of the seats for the seatbelt pass through. Is that the same thing you are talking about?
If it is, can you post the price and where you end up buying these from. I would be interested in seeing how much they are.
Thanks for posting the part numbers. That is already more than I had to start with.

I ordered a pair of used Corvette shoulder belts, seat rear inserts and chart boots (the plastic covering that fits of the belt buckle to prevent it from retracting through the seat opening) from James Stewart (really!) at Pipersauto.net. Have not received them yet so I can't comment on the quality. I will tell you that I obviously paid too much for the seat rear inserts at $50 a set upon reading another CF member's comment that Paragon could supply for $20.
FYI: On my 70' Vert, upon removing the foam padding from the passenger seat, the seat frame already had the front shoulder belt guide installed (welded in at factory). This was a welcome surprise!
My suggestion, take a seat apart and verify if you need this part before ordering.
Best Regards,
James
