hey just wondering if there are any local guys around just to hang out or talk about vettes or needing a hand with any mechanical vac or electrical always got time for a vette
Hey erock:
Although I'm not close, I hang up in Bartlett on occasion. I also work with two guys who live there so I know the area. Lots of cruise in's throughout the summer up by me (Gurnee) so your always welcome to drop in. Once the weather turns....my 72 will be terrorizing the streets so maybe we'll get together then. If your serious about the electrical help, I JUST MIGHT TAKE YOU UP ON IT!!!
P.S. Look for a red 77 in the Bartlett area. (She's a friend of mine)

Up here in Pecatonica ( or as Harry Carray would say- Peekatoneeka), its only about a hour and a half away. Let me know if your up in the Rockford area. Suppose to have a local corvette run the last weekend in April that usaully goes over to the Miss and up thru Galena into Wisc and around. That is if I get my new 383 in, new hood and paint done. My buddies are betting against me. Some friends...
I'm just up the road from you in South Elgin. I have 2 76's, an L48 auto and an L82 4 spd. As soon as the weather breaks I will start working on the L82 as it needs paint and interior freshing up. The L48 is 98% done. Lot's of cruise nights around here, Fox Valley Corvette Club and other Corvette clubs.
im thinking about starting body work but i might wait till next winter seems like theres alot of cruising comin up although i really need paint i still get thumbs up if you see a blue and grey 70 thats me
I'm from Bloomingdale, where do you go for cruise nights.
I think the closest one to you is Carol Stream's. Elmhurst is a good one as well, so is Crystal Lake, St. Charles (Goody's), Wheaton (but watch your car, too many baby strollers and kids on bikes). Don't forget to watch for the new one beginning in May at Augustino's in West Chicago. South Elgin has a pretty good one too, Kane County Gearheads host that one.
Does anyone know what happen to the cruise at the Roselle train station. Got to a prety good size before they rebuilt it not just a hand full of cars.......
i heard they stopped it cause it got way too big that was a kick *** show lots of nice cars, i say first cruise night i dont know who will start first but we should get the posse rounded up or maybe the first nice day we can organize a cruise and our own car show
