I feel the same way about the K&N Extreme top lid.
Also with those ProFlows, you need a bunch of clearance to the hood because of any sharp air flow angle/turn creates too much turbulence and sloppy metering.
Had one on my big block Olds until it backfired and caught this type of air cleaner on fire and melted the foam. Spent the rest of the day cleaning out the carb. Not fun.....Now I have a K&N filter on it...much better.
