Fuel Pressure Gauge
I am putting another order together for Summit and I want to add a fuel pressure gauge to my braided fuel lines. The only thing about the gauge is where it will be located on my fuel log. There is a port at the back of the log near the rear bowl. Is that an acceptable place? I am looking at a couple of gauges one by Holley and one by Russell . Is there any others I should be looking at or any preferences you guys may have. Post up and let me know. Let me know any more accesories I may need to finish the install. I will be making my order either tomorrow morning or Monday morning.
I have the AutoMeter mechanical guage with the silver face. Its alittle different than the pictures Summit shows on their website..i was rather dissappointed, but oh well. I didn't know that about the liquid filled guages..I guess I won't be ordering one then.
Don't get the "fluid filled" gauge. Once the fluid heats up inside the gauge it's useless. Get the regular mechanical gauge.
I used one on my vette and it would read acccurate on start up but slowly go to 0, I have a 100 psi one for my FI Firebird and it works fine all the time.

Thanks for the heads up on the fluid filled gauges. That was what I thought I wanted because of needle bounce.
Len, there is actually a port on mine near the distributor end of the fuel log. Probably not a good place for a fuel leak. I guess I need to relick this cat and pick out a different gauge or just leave it out for now.
