For those of you who watched the race and even if you did'nt watch, did you catch the Pace Car? 2005 C6 with a black racing stripe and a big wing. Almost looked forward to the yellows so I could see the Vette.
Tony Stewart: "If he wants to talk, I'm readily accessible"
I'm not much into Nascar, but from seeing him in the Daytona 24hr and hearing of his other exploits, I was rooting for him. I respect people like Dan Gurney who can get in anything and go fast.

may've been THE best line from this SpeedWeeks....
This was one of the most bring 500's in history, with no passing, and single-file driving for 400 miles.....
but Stewart IS the real-deal.
I was there, I had never been to a race before. It was exciting, especially some of the last 40 laps or so. I am not much of a die-hard fan, but I had a 24 shirt on and was glad to see him win.
I did like the stripe on the pace car. Not much into yellow cars, but I liked the stripe.
I looked forward to the yellows, too. Was hoping the pace car driver would have a brain fart and just stand on it instead of pulling off the track on restart. He'd have kicked some butt, especially for the first lap while those restricted hulks got wound up.
I was hoping that they equipped it with the new 427 small block and were going to let it race with the other 43 cars. My money would have been on the C6 vette.
The wing needed some trimming.
Aside from the "ricey" wing, of course I liked seeing it between fast laps.
Dang ... thought Jr had a chance at a bump-n-run for the win.
