I'm almost done installing my new VBP fiberglass springs front and rear, so this might be a good time to change out the rear gear lube. I want to go synthetic, but I remember something about an additive for posi's that should go in. Is that right? Any recommendations?

Add 1 Bottle of GM Posi Additive and fill with your juice of choice (Mobil 1 Gear is a great choice!!).
Some have said that certain lube(s) do not need the posi additive. I went with Mobil 1 and 2 bottles of GM Posi Additive. It's relatively easy to get and inexpensive to buy.

GM has been recommending the Additive seems like forever. The GM part number and quantity needed is in your Owners Manual or the GM Shop Manual. I don't understand why some folks take a chance that their car doesn't need the additive. Just spend the few bucks and do it right.
GM additive # 1052358 and their GEAR oil or any quality 90 wt gear oil. I don't use syn oil, per advice of Tom Watt or the US Gear Co technical engineer I once spoke with.
