Have you intalled the HotRodAir system? I've got a '72 that I'd like to install aftermarket a/c in, but not sure if a beginner like me could handle it. :o

no I have not. But I believe I've researched all the aftermarket systems and I like HotRod Air the best. As to the install, I've had most of the car apart at one time or another, and I believe the a/c install should be straight forward. Might be some tight corners, but others have done it, so why not us?
Wondering if anyone knows anything about after-market A/C units for a '72 convertible. Suggestions of manufacturers, difficulties, etc. Thanks! Dave
I'd be interested in knowing what some expedient methods might be availble to get air conditioning in my 1968 Convertible. I've even thought that having evaporator coils and fans in the rear storage area might be OK. (Well, Ok ...Really a little gross).
I think I should start looking into buying an AC plenum on Ebay or from a salvage yard. Maybe we need to be prepared for global warming.

I once belonged to a Corvette Club. One of the guys actually put air conditioning coils in the storage box where the emergency jack goes. He made a little refrigerator there to store beer. He was an air conditioning technician. Sadly, he was busted for a really big DUI so I don't know what happened to him or his C3 mini-refrigerator!!
