Default 1882 crossfire

stalls and fuel pump I think is loosing power ? any ideas?

Sounds like its time to upgrade the fuel pump, your pump filter is probably clogged also.

If you go with an 85 or newer pump, you will have better pressure at the TB's, where the stock 82/84 pumps are weak.

Just be sure to replace the sock on the pickup with the pump, and the frame mounted filter too.

keep in mind the stock 84 pump puts out 14 pounds, the 85 is over 40. I blew a holley regulator out, using a 85 pump, and trying to get it down to 9.

The stock regulator is just fine for the 40psi from a higher pressure pump.
Plus you want to run a crossfire at around 13 psi. for best atomization.

pumps put out flow, not pressure, pressure is forcing flow through a restriction and the regulator is that restriction, it will regulate the pressure down just fine, the only way the pressure could increase beyond the set pressure of the regulator is if the regulator itself or the return line became restrictive..that won't happen.
