Killed the Cat, and a Tiger appeared!!
Just got back from the muffler shop where I had them drop my cat, and pipe in straight 2 1/2 to each muffler for "true" dual exhaust. WOW! 
Gotta like that sound and extra power. It made a considerable difference, and the engine seem to be running alot smoother.
Next up.....New distributor and Edelbrock carb and intake! Can't wait for the next round......

Sounds great, Glad you've started to make thoses improvements.
If you don't have to actually pass emissions, Take a straight through replacement tube and put a cat cover over it. There's got to be people here that could give you an old dead factor cat.

I can't do that. They actually look for the cat in the '75 when they do the full blown "clean air" inspection. Don't move to NC.
