"Don't overpay. There are many '63 Corvette coupes for sale with good birdcages. This is not one of them."
"If $50,000 is more than you can comfortably afford to spend on the full restoration of an old Corvette, then I'm definitely talking to you! Just be happy that you've dodged this bullet and go look at auctions for used Miatas."

Hilarious!
I've never seen anyone try so hard not to sell a car. The really funny part is that they are actually bidding on this car! I've got a feeling that we will see this one again on Ebay someday in the same (or worse) condition with the seller trying to tell us how great of a buy it is.
I'm thinking it would make a whole lot more sense to put the $8100 down on a nice C2 and finance the rest. Gotta be cheaper in the long run. Better yet put the $8100 down on a C3 and finance a lot less
I think what we see is that the price of a 1963 Corvette Coupe VIN and legal title is something around $8100. As a sweetener, you get a frame of some unknown quality and some fiberglass body parts.
Will this VIN number appear on a car sold at auction next year for $160,000?

Q: Dear Jerry...first let me say I live in italy and my uncle recently died and left me $50000 usd to spend on Corvette of my dreams. I think this is it....more answered on: Feb-23-05
A: I'm sorry, Pepe, but you're going to have to keep riding your donkey. I'm going to take my chances and let this auction run.
Why does Jerry Bramlett ring a bell, anyone else out there recognize his name?
Funny shiznit. Esp about the one with the uncle in Italy....'keep riding donkey boy.'
He's an NCRS member and also works on Corvettes for people. I believe in his NCRS ads he does anything from simple repairs to full restorations. That was probably the "most" honest ad ever on eBay.
Q: Jerry, Does your Wife know you are selling the car? Ronnie answered on: Feb-23-05
A: Ronnie, she is far beyond caring what I do with my cars or their individual parts. "That phase is over."
