Anyone running without underhood insulation?

i have it on my 73 ,,matter of fact i just changed it again cuz it was also geting ratty,the last on was in for 4 yrs, i think this past on was only 36.00 from ecklers,, the one before i bought from mr.goodwrench, it was still available!

I have no insulation and my hood is painted underneath the same as the outside. NO PROBLEMS !!!

My 78 has no hood insulation, and the only place I have paint bubbles is the hood. I bought it that way, though.

Why not just buy it ffrom Eckler's? Cheap insurance....under $50.

The Eckler's catalog indicates "not moulded as original", which leaves me to believe it will look like a bubba-job when I get through installing it.

I like the clean look of a sprayed (and uninsulated) underhood...
