I'm getting ready to replace the trailing arms on my 75. There's not much room to put the T arm bushing bolt in through the frame. How do you do it? I'm thinking a long pair of needle nose pliers and lots of luck. I haven't tried getting the bolt out yet. That may be fun in itself.
if it all rusted to one chunk of rust ... cut through the shims and the bolt , a reciprocating saw for $59 at Lowe's does the job.... the shims and bolts are getting replaced anyway...
Installing the bolt.... yes, that's fun.... I glued the bolt to needle nose pliers so it wouldn't slip off the pliers... worked great but took me a while to get the idea of glueing the bolt to the pliers...
Yep!! Needlenose is the key....also take a shop rag and cram it back in that space where the bolt goes....this will kinda keep the bolt from wiggling around too much while you are trying to get it lined up and fed thru the inner sleeve in the T/A....I just did my 78 today. The left side was easier than the right side because I am right handed and trying to teach my left hand precision needlenose motor skills just wasn't happenin'. Just have patience and you'll get it....Good luck
Hey that was just a little tip someone gave me a year ago when I was doing my t-arms. Does work good, maybe a couple of minutes to get the bolt back in.

I was at the Vette expo in Houston today and a guy at Van Steel told me to do the same thing. I thought it was a great idea and wanted to post it but alas you beat me to the punch!
