When you dump the clutch and smoke out the tires why is it the rear always goes right? Is it based on the engine's direction of rotation. I left 2 nice black streeks last night and you can clearly see where the tires drifted right and finally got traction and straightened out and then shot forward.
Could it have something to do with the C3's IRS?? When my C3 shifts hard from 1st to 2nd, the *** end of the car dips left a bit. My Camaro burns em and chirps em in a straight line....
Or could be that roads normally have a "crown" in them so rain runs off to the sides. Some more than others. Spin the tires and the weight of the rear end will drift towards the downside of the "crown." That's my WAG.

If I am on the strip where it is dead flat my car goes straight. If I am on a road (most of them are crowned) the car will drift to the right. Most of the time it is pretty straight.
It has to do with the rotation and torque of the engine, and the loading/twisting of the suspension, which puts more "grab" on the right tire.
See that's what I think. This is my 3rd Vette and they all went to the right. Yes slicks on the track would hopefully solve this but this is just me screwing around.
