Default '69...whats it worth?

I saw a gorgeous 69 for sale...maroon, auto tranny, base motor, 66K miles...apparently "ran strong" (although I didn't drive it) interior looked mint, chrome was all in nice shape....the place was asking $12,900. good, bad, thoughts, opinions??

Big block? Is it # matching?

If it's both BB and #s then that's a steal

window said it was 300hp (base motor i assume) and it also said numbers matched....the place was closed, so all i could do was walk around the car and peek inside.

Base engine (small block). Fair price...if it's as advertised. By that I mean there my be better buys out there, but have lots (and lots) of patience!

It would make a nice car for your wife. Real men drive Corvettes with 4 speeds. That's why automatics are cheap.

Sounds like he is in the ballpark. Check it out, but if the frame/birdcage aren't rusty and the paint is nice it sounds like a good price.

You think that until the auto runs a QUICKER time at the track

Atleast with later corvettes this is true.

Default 69

I shopped 69's for years, Hang tight till you can actually get in the car, When you can look at the bottom of the center console, even with an automatic if it says 350 / 350 it's a screamer! I've driven about 3 of them over the years and the automatic in that car is a locker! Buy it!
Try to check the vin though don't mess with one thats been messed with.

I've heard the 350/350hp in 68 and 69 were fast too but why would people act like they're so fast when they had the 427 390hp and up available?

My dad had a 68 vert 390hp bb once it had plenty but jsut wondering how the 350hp small block would compare to it.
