Default Need help removing door panel (mods please delete other thread)

Okay, so I'm having some trouble removing my driver's side door panel. I've got the lock **** and door handle off, but the door pull is giving me some problems. It's got two weird pieces of hardward holding it in - they have no head and have horizontal threads on the top and vertical threads on the bottom. I've got no idea how to remove it, tried "unscrewing" it with a pair of needle nose pliers but all it did was strip the threads on the top a bit...this pic is the best I could get (from the passenger side). Help?!

Looks like Bubba installed the wrong screws to hold your door pull in place. The head has now snapped off the shank. You'll have to find a way to remove the remnants. Since it's scrap anyway, vice grips might work.

I got it off the same way ED T shows it, except I don't have a window crank.

Pretty much what I feared What confuses me is the way the threads are - never seen any screw with vertical threads on the bottom half. I'm worried I'm going to have to cut them off and, if necessary, the door pull with them
