I think Mid America Industries is different from Mid America Motorwork. Heard throught the grapevine that this other guy (MAI) used the Mid America name to promote his parts and thats why MAM changed their name. I also heard that there are some issues w/this guys frames.
It does look like this guy put a lot of time and money into it though.

No, the GT is currently my DD as long as it's not snowing. You can never have enough BB's. If I would do the Cobra kit, I know where I can get a Ford 460.
That frame looks pretty lame to me... There's no triangulation or cross-bracing or gussets or anything. I'd put TT ot Norval's up against it any day of the week.
And what's with the fake knock-offs? That's one of my pet-peevs...
It looks nice, but it's gonna need one helluva roll cage to be racing-stiff.
