Yeah it's a cast iron(75) rear end. I believe they can be adapted to the 80-82 rear covers. I have an 82 rear end here too I'll have to see how the cover matches up.

Did you want me to look into the conversion? I won't be able to get to it for a week or two. Depending on what may be required for any machining the cost will go up. Maybe Danny has one set to go?

From: Who says "Nothing is impossible" ? I've been doing nothing for years.
No don't bother I actually had Dan look into the conversion for me at one time, there is a little bit involved, can be done though. I will probably buy a drop in replacement from him when the time comes and bolt on the dragvette safetly loops
Depending on price, I'm interested in a 3.55 or similar. I've got a core I can send you as well. I would need a HD cover and HD Yokes for a warm big block.
I can't pick it up but I am suffering from a dieing differential. I'm also looking at an OD transmission so I'd want to ditch the current 3.08 anyway. I have to go to work about 5 minutes ago I just wanted to say I'm interested and I'll write again this afternoon when I get out.
Hey guys I'll put together some numbers for you and PM them. If you buy the yokes and HD cover it will save you some money and I wouldn't need them for the rebuild. I would need the yoke size of the driveshaft joint as these cars have had the rears swapped over the years and current owners may not even know it! I'll check stock on the gear ratios too as some have been on BO from US Gear.
Thanks
Gary
