What is all involved when lowering a vette. I have a 1977 that I have toyed around with the idea of lowering it a couple on inches for looks. Any advise would be appreciated. Thank you
new springs in the front are you can take the old ones out and cut them I used vbp 550's on the front and it dropped it about 1 inch, you can get longer spring bolts for the rear.

Cut coils off the front springs (trim, test fit, trim, test fit in small increments). Get longer bolts for the rear. It's really pretty simple if you have the tools.
If you cut the front coils, only cut half a coil.I did this and lowered the front end 3/4 inch. This allowed running stock 15 inch wheels with P255-60 15's with no rubbing under hard braking.(I put chalk on the wheel well edges to test this).I just now measured from the garage floor to the center of the wheel well (height) and the front finished dimension is 26 1/2".
The rear is 27 1/2 ".I never lowered the rear.Still have stock steel rear RPO FE7 spring on my 78' with 115,000 original miles.
I recommend getting your existing dimensions first(front/rear).I never did,but I hope this helps you decide.
