Default Replacing outer door window seals

Forum newbie here with a leaky 81, so I'm sure this is just the beginning of the questions. Thank you all for the chance to get honest advice.

Installed the rubber outer door window seals with parts from Mid-America. Really a pain to get them in, and now when the windows are raised/lowered the seals roll onto themselfs, and so tight the motors protest.

Any info for a better fit or supplier?

Regards,

Marty

Those rubber replacement ones don't work well at all. I had the same problem and fought with it for days. I tried following all the procedures to adjust the windows and finally gave up and put the old cruddy seals back on. The only thing I can suggest is to return those and spring for the expensive original style ones.

Is there a source for the GM parts? I haven't been able to find new, and the old ones are long gone.

Called a local shop, he said the GM's are N/A and the aftermarkets have to "break in".
